Magic of Travesty: A colorful revue full of glamour and great entertainment
When the curtain rises in the Comedy at Altstadtmarkt, an evening begins between perfect illusion, live singing, cabaret, and sparkling visual treats. Magic of Travesty – The Original will be performing on October 15, 2026, in Braunschweig and invites the audience into a quirky, flamboyant world where entertainment becomes great stage art.
A production between cabaret, music, and transformation
The revue connects renowned artists from well-known German cabarets with expressive costumes, pointed humor, and musical energy. The dramaturgy thrives on the change of forms: Following live singing are comedic scenes, after glamorous performances come surprising moments and a healthy dose of self-irony.
Glamorous stage design and strong audience reactions
At the center is the art of transformation. Costumes, lighting mood, and stage presence create a theatrical atmosphere that oscillates between variety, show stage, and cabaret. The acoustics of the theater bring the live singing directly into the audience area, while the rapid changes of performances ensure a dynamic stage experience.
Travesty as a play with identity and illusion
Travesty opens a space where roles, expectations, and appearances are newly staged. The show uses this play with identity not as a distant concept but as an immediate entertainment evening: glamorous, humorous, and close to the audience. Thus, a revue emerges that connects various impressions and invites its audience to marvel, laugh, and cheer along.
