Art Against Cash: When Every Act Becomes a Stage Moment
On Thursday, November 5, 2026, the KULT in Braunschweig transforms into a vibrant open small arts stage. At Art Against Cash, comedy, music, magic, poetry slam, acrobatics, and acting come together – surprising, direct, and with that electrifying closeness that only a real live experience unfolds.
Ten Minutes for a Grand Performance
Each artist is given ten minutes to win over the audience. The dramaturgy thrives on the change of forms: a sharp comedy bit is followed by a musical performance, a poetic miniature leads to an astonishing magic trick or a physically precise acrobatic scene. Thus, a varied theater evening emerges, whose next twist no one can predict.
The Audience Decides
After the performances, the audience becomes part of the production itself. Each act receives its own piggy bank, into which guests can drop money. The collected amounts go entirely to the artists. Two contributions with the highest earnings receive an encore – an immediate, humorous, and unusually democratic concluding note.
Living Room Atmosphere at KULT
The KULT at the historic Schimmelhof stands for small arts in a personal atmosphere. The proximity to the stage sharpens every audience reaction: a surprised laugh, tense silence before the next trick, spontaneous applause after a successful punchline. Set design, lighting, and acoustics take a backseat to the immediate encounter – the focus is on presence, timing, and acting skills.
Open Stage for Established Acts and Talents
Art Against Cash connects experienced artists with newcomers performing in front of an audience for the first time. It is precisely this mixture that makes the event appealing: the stage experience remains open for discoveries, unusual ideas, and surprising perspectives. Anyone wishing to present their own talent can register with the organizer for a performance.
Conclusion: An Evening Full of Surprises
If you love varied small arts, spontaneous audience closeness, and the thrill of an open stage, you will experience an evening at KULT with genuine surprise potential. Secure your ticket and decide for yourself which artists deserve an encore.
