The Power Camp: Five Days Full of Sports, Action, and Team Spirit
In the Power Camp organized by the District Youth Work of AWO Braunschweig, young people experience a sporty week with diverse challenges during the autumn holidays. From October 19 to 23, 2026, movement, self-assertion, and joint sports are the focus every day from 09:00 to 16:00.
Action on the Sports Field and Beyond
Archery, martial arts elements, functional fitness, endurance and strength training, as well as coordination and movement games provide a versatile program. Each session blends physical activity with concentration, body awareness, and the joy of discovering new sports.
Sporting Challenges with Personal Value
The Power Camp strengthens body awareness, self-confidence, and social connections. Participants engage with their individual movement capabilities, train coordination and agility, and learn to utilize personal resources effectively. Impulse control and stress management are also key educational focuses.
Active Together in Autumn
The emphasis will be tailored to each group. Besides archery and martial arts, hikes and other movement and skill games may be on the agenda. The camp is aimed at young people aged between 12 and 20 and takes place without overnight stays. Continuous participation throughout the entire week is expected.
Important Information for Participation
The event takes place at the Children's and Youth Center Lamme. In case of unsuitable weather, archery will be replaced by an alternative activity. Participants should bring snacks, drinks, and lunch, as well as sportswear and sports shoes or comfortable clothing with light shoes.
Conclusion
The Power Camp combines movement, action, and personal development into an intense holiday experience. Young people discover new sports, tackle physical challenges, and grow together as a group. Those wanting to be active during the autumn holidays and experience stadium atmosphere, game field excitement, and true team spirit in a diverse sports week will find the right meeting point here.
