At the game day camp Mind matters – Strong in Mind, the Basketball Lions Braunschweig combine an educational program on mental health with an intense sports day and a visit to a home game. On October 31, 2026, children and teenagers will experience a diverse day centered around mental strength, movement, and basketball at the training center of the Braunschweig Lions.

In the camp, the focus is on better recognizing one's own feelings, discovering helpful strategies, and strengthening the handling of stressful situations. From the training center to the Volkswagen Hall
The day begins at 12:00 PM at the training center of the Braunschweig Lions. Afterwards, everyone will together make their way to the home game of the Basketball Lions against Würzburg. There, fan chants, arena lights, crowd noise, and the typical court excitement of a basketball evening awaits. The camp includes the home game ticket and transportation to the Volkswagen Hall.
A program for young people
The game day camp is aimed at children and teenagers aged 10 to 26 years. The educational and sports program is part of the LöwenZukunft project and is implemented by the Basketball Lions Braunschweig in collaboration with the AWO Braunschweig District Youth Work and other partners. Meals and a T-shirt are also included in the offer.
