A dazzling family experience with the Rainbow Fish
When the lights are dimmed at the ASTOR Film Theater Braunschweig, a colorful journey into the deep sea begins. The SUPER KIDS CLUB PREVIEW of The Rainbow Fish invites children and families to a child-friendly cinema experience full of wonder, curiosity, and children's laughter.
An adventurous journey underwater
The Rainbow Fish has the most beautiful shimmering scales in the entire ocean. However, his pride makes him lonely. When one of his precious scales gets lost, the Little Blue accompanies him on an adventurous search deep into the abyss. Along the way, the Rainbow Fish discovers that friendship, helpfulness, and collective action are more important than external shine.
Learning fun about friendship and community
The story addresses central themes of child development: perceiving feelings, forming relationships, sharing, and standing up for each other. For children aged about 3 to 8 years, the film offers an age-appropriate learning experience that combines emotional education with imaginative cinema. Families experience quality time together and gain conversation starters about friendship, exclusion, and solidarity.
Big pictures for little cinema fans
Shimmering scales, mysterious deep sea, and a brave search make the story a sensory family experience. The well-known children's book character by Marcus Pfister takes young viewers into a colorful underwater world and conveys in a child-friendly way: Together we are stronger than alone.
Well prepared for children's cinema
The screening takes place on Sunday, November 8, 2026, at the ASTOR Film Theater Braunschweig. The film starts at 14:30 and is expected to end around 16:00. The event is particularly suitable for families with children in preschool and elementary school age. It is recommended that an adult caregiver accompanies the children to the cinema.
