Picture Book Cinema Heidberg: Polly's Pirate Party Excites Young Book Fans

Curtains up for Polly's Pirate Party in Heidberg

A cozy family experience with children's laughter, large images, and an exciting pirate story awaits children from four years old on Tuesday, November 10, 2026, at the Heidberg branch of the Braunschweig City Library. In the picture book cinema, the illustrations from Matthias Weinert's Polly's Pirate Party will be displayed on a large scale, and the story will be experienced together.

A Pirate Party Full of Imagination

Soda, gummy bears, and cake lure to a birthday party. Pirate Captain Brummel and his wild men want to join in as well. But before they visit Polly, washing, hair combing, and nail trimming are on the agenda. Do freshly bathed pirates really look like real sea robbers? The child-friendly story invites wonder, laughter, and excitement.

Age-appropriate Fun with Pictures and Words

The picture book cinema is aimed at children from four years old and playfully supports early language and reading development. Large illustrations combine listening, image viewing, and imagination. Children discover new words, follow action sequences, and develop their own ideas about characters and adventures. The short event is suitable for the attention spans of younger children and creates a valuable learning experience in a relaxed atmosphere.

Quality Time for Children and Parents

When the pictures light up and the story begins, a special moment of shared time is created. Parents accompany their children through the story, observe their reactions, and experience how curiosity and imagination grow. The format offers families a quiet, safe framework for culture, exchange, and joy in reading.

Free Admission and No Registration

The picture book cinema starts at 4:00 PM and lasts until around 4:30 PM. Admission is free, and no registration is required. The Heidberg branch is accessible without barriers. For inquiries, the city library is available at the phone number 0531 26309473.

This family event combines reading enjoyment, visual impressions, and child-friendly language promotion. Families can look forward to a fantastical half hour with pirates, birthday bustle, and plenty of room for shared wonder. Mark the date now and experience Polly's Pirate Party live at the picture book cinema.
