A Final Look at Young Art in Transition

On Sunday, November 8, 2026, the Kunstverein Braunschweig invites you to the finissage of the exhibition Nothing is ever really lost. From 4 to 6 PM, the presentation of the graduate students of the University of Fine Arts Braunschweig 2026 will conclude with snacks and drinks. Admission to the finissage is free.

17 Artistic Positions Between Graduation and New Beginnings

The exhibition gathers works from 17 graduate students who have completed a two-semester master's program in Fine Arts after their diploma. The focus is on self-directed artistic projects that mark the transition from the academic context to the public sphere.

Painting, sculpture, installation, and other forms of contemporary art converge at Villa Salve Hospes. Different materials, visual languages, and spatial arrangements open a multifaceted exploration of works concerning presence, memory, change, and the question of which traces persist in cultural memory.

Exhibition Atmosphere at Villa Salve Hospes

The historical architecture of the Kunstverein creates a rich resonance space for the current works. Between clearly defined forms, material surfaces, and installational interventions, an exhibition atmosphere emerges where aesthetic experience and art historical context connect. The title of the exhibition refers to the continuing impact of thoughts, images, actions, and artistic processes.

Cultural Education and Personal Exchange

The exhibition resulted from a long-standing cooperation between Kunstverein Braunschweig and HBK Braunschweig. Public guided tours, artist talks, and accompanying events make the curatorial decisions and the individual working methods of the participants accessible. As early as 1 PM on the finissage day, there will be an artist talk with Juan Blanco, Hannah Güse, Hye Hyun Kim, and Jana Michal, moderated by Jule Hillgärtner.

The Participating Artists
