Triumph of Spirits: A New Art Experience at the Geyso20 Gallery
With the exhibition Triumph of Spirits, the Geyso20 Gallery in Braunschweig opens a space for artistic production, research, and interaction. The project is being created in close cooperation with HBK Braunschweig and brings together students as well as artists from Geyso20. Under the direction of Braunschweig artist Thomas Bartels, the gallery is transforming into an analog photo and film laboratory.
Between Outsider Art and Academic Art Practice
Geyso20 sees itself as a place where people with disabilities develop their own visual and formal language. This exhibition atmosphere has a special intensity: Here, free drawing, experimental image production, painting, photography, and cinematic techniques converge. It is precisely this friction that enhances the appeal of viewing the works and sharpens the perception of different artistic styles.
A Research Project with Sensory Spatial Impact
Triumph of Spirits is more than just an exhibition. The project examines what emerges when different forms of work intersect. Visitors experience an art encounter that thrives on process, openness, and materiality. The transformation of the gallery into a laboratory for analog imagery promises a rich, concentrated, and simultaneously inspiring aesthetic experience.
Cultural Education and Encounter
The Geyso20 Gallery has been known for its educational offerings for years. In this exhibition, dialogue is at the forefront: Art is not only presented but also collectively contemplated. For art-interested guests, access to outsider art, contemporary art, and inclusive curation presents itself as equally emotional and educationally relevant.
Invitation to Visit
Anyone interested in contemporary art, studio practices, and the connection between production process and exhibition will find a rewarding date in Triumph of Spirits. Free entry makes the visit accessible, and the willingness to donate supports local cultural work. A visit to the Geyso20 Gallery promises an engaging engagement with art, space, and collective production.
