Double Perspective at the Torhaus: Experience Art in the Botanical Garden Braunschweig

Double Perspective: Contemporary Art in the Botanical Garden Braunschweig

The exhibition Double Perspective invites you to the Torhaus of the Botanical Garden Braunschweig from October 11 to November 1, 2026. Organized by Anke Nagel and Petra Salamon, the exhibition combines the unique character of a historical exhibition venue with a concentrated encounter with art.

An exhibition space between architecture and nature

The Torhaus of the Botanical Garden creates an atmospheric connection between interior space and garden landscape. While outside plants, light, and seasonal changes shape the view, the exhibition indoors offers an independent aesthetic experience. The spatial situation supports a calm contemplation of the works and makes the visit to the exhibition a conscious change between nature perception and artistic perspective.

The title as an invitation to see closely

Double Perspective refers to the complexity of viewing. Art does not arise solely from shapes, colors, and materials but also from the viewer's standpoint. Every contemplation of a work changes with one's own gaze, with movement through the space, and with the cultural context in which a work appears. The exhibition title thus opens up a conceptual space for perception, juxtaposition, and individual interpretation.

Art experience and cultural education

The exhibition provides the opportunity to engage in an aesthetic experience without time pressure. Between exhibition atmosphere, architectural framing, and botanical surroundings, an art experience is created that encourages concentrated observation. Visitors encounter an exhibition that places the dialogue between space, perception, and artistic expression at its center.

Conclusion: Experience perspectives live

Double Perspective promises a special exhibition visit at the Torhaus of the Botanical Garden Braunschweig. Those who want to experience art in a characterful environment, sharpen their own gaze, and engage in an inspiring contemplation of the works will find here a worthwhile occasion for cultural enrichment and aesthetic experience.
