Sarah Lesch brings poetry and resistance to Braunschweig
On Sunday, October 18, 2026, Sarah Lesch transforms the KufA House in Braunschweig into a place for sensitive songwriting, clear stance, and intense live atmosphere. The Poetry & Resistance Tour combines intimate folk ballads, socio-critical lyrics, and personal stories into a concert experience that resonates with closeness and reflection.
Songs that show stance
Sarah Lesch is one of the defining voices of the new German-language songwriter scene. Her songs address big questions in small ways: human, political, and without smooth answers. With guitar, ukulele, and a distinctive stage presence, she brings texts to the stage that combine entertainment and stance.
Between folk ballad and protest song
The musical dramaturgy thrives on the interplay between subdued moments and powerful passages. Acoustic arrangements, precise timing, and a direct language create a sound that is simultaneously warm, contemplative, and uncompromising. The audience's mood emerges not from grand effects but from the immediate connection of voice, instrument, and narrative.
An experienced songwriter with awards
Since 2012, Sarah Lesch has released several albums, including Von Musen und Matrosen, Da Draussen, Der Einsamkeit zum Trotze, Triggerwarnung, Gute Nachrichten, and in 2026 Poesie & Widerstand. For her work, she has received various awards, including first place at the FM4 Protest Song Contest, the sponsorship award for young song poets from the Hanns-Seidel-Stiftung, and the sponsorship award for the Lessing Prize of the Free State of Saxony.
Live at the KufA House
The concert begins at 19:00, with doors opening at 18:00. At the KufA House, located at Westbahnhof 13, the audience can expect a focused evening of poetic songs, social analysis, and powerful goosebump moments. The tour is presented by Kulturnews.
Conclusion: Poetry that stays in the room
Sarah Lesch stands for a concert experience that does not end at the edge of the stage. Those who want to experience German-language singer-songwriter art, acoustic folk, and clear social observations live will find a special evening at the Poetry & Resistance Tour. Secure your tickets for the concert at the KufA House and experience Sarah Lesch in Braunschweig directly.
