Jazz Breakfast with Swing, Blues and Dixieland in Braunschweig
On Saturday, October 10, 2026, the FrühKultur series at the Kulturbühne Gärtnerei Volk brings the Excelsior Jazzmen to the small stage. Starting at 11:00 AM, the ensemble combines traditional jazz with lively entertainment – with free admission and a special atmosphere in the greenhouse.
From Dixieland to Rolling Stones
The repertoire of the Excelsior Jazzmen ranges from Dixieland, Swing, Blues, Gospel, and Ragtime to well-known melodies from the past century. Classics like Sweet Georgia Brown and All Of Me meet gospel songs like Down By The Riverside and Just A Closer Walk.
Jazz with Surprising Color Accents
Old German hits are also part of the program. With Hallo kleines Fräulein, the sound opens up to nostalgic tones, before the band strikes a distinctive bridge to the rock of the Rolling Stones with their own version of Honky Tonk Women. The mix promises a varied concert experience between classic jazz orchestration, buoyant swing, and bluesy stage performance.
Live Music in the Greenhouse
The Kulturbühne Gärtnerei Volk creates an unusual setting for the concert morning: amidst plants and glass roofs, an immediate live atmosphere is created, in which acoustics, audience mood, and musical energy come together closely. The FrühKultur series is already taking place for the third time in 2026 and presents not only concerts but also readings and a magic show.
Free Entrance, Donations Welcome
Admission is free. Donations are welcome and go entirely to the performing artists. This makes attending the concert an open cultural experience for jazz fans, families, and everyone who wants to start their Saturday with live music.
Conclusion: The Excelsior Jazzmen will bring swinging classics, gospel, ragtime, and surprising rock moments to Braunschweig on October 10, 2026. Those who wish to experience jazz with charm, rhythmic drive, and direct proximity to the stage should enjoy this special FrühKultur morning live.
